Position Summary:

The Athletics Program Coordinator is hired by the Athletics Supervisor and is responsible for assisting the Athletics Supervisor and another Athletics Program Coordinator in leading, organizing, planning and reviewing the work of staff, as well as assisting in the running all activities of the Athletics Department.

The position of Athletics Program Coordinator is an at-will, FLSA exempt salaried position. It is a hands-on position with a high degree of staff engagement and therefore not appropriate for remote work of any kind.

The Athletics Program Coordinator assists in overseeing all Athletics programs offered by TDRPD as well as assist in managing Ponderosa Golf Course in the summer and the Truckee Ice Rink at Regional Park in the winter.  The Athletics Program Coordinator is supported by the Athletics Supervisor, another Athletics Program Coordinator and two other year-round professional staff as well as many part-time staff including cashiers, sports officials, and the fitness center staff.
