Board Member Orientation - January 5, 2023 via Zoom presented by CARPD
Calling all Board Members of California's recreation and park districts! This special one hour session is designed specifically for you! The interactive presentation will address the unique role of a Park District Board and how one can use the opportunity to best serve their community. This training is ideal for new Board Members, but will also touch on matters new and relevant to even the most seasoned of electeds. Best of all...it's FREE!
Topics will also include Brown Act compliance and recent updates, the Board's role as policymaker, and how to effectively collaborate with Board colleagues. Q&A and discussion to follow after the presentation.
