Have any districts been successful in obtaining excess ERAF funding?
Page 1 of the pdf below states:
Excess ERAF Allocated to Noneducation Agencies. In a few counties, ERAF revenue is more than enough to offset all of the General Fund allocated to schools and community colleges. In the mid-1990s, the Legislature enacted a law shifting the portion of ERAF not needed for schools and community colleges to other agencies in the county. The revenue shifted through this process is known as excess ERAF. As of 2018-19, five counties have excess ERAF—Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara.ERAF-030620.pdf
- Do any CAPRD members have knowledge of this?
- If so, what did the district(s) do in negotiating for this funding?
Any Districts with information to share, please respond directly to Dean Wetter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
