Who can become a Member?
A recreation and park district, regional park district, other special districts such as a community services district, or joint powers authority composed of special districts which provide recreation and/or park services and are organized under the appropriate laws of the State of California.
Why join CARPD?
CARPD is a 501c(6), not-for-profit organization that is solely dedicated to improving the quality and efficiency of recreation and parks in California. We understand the challenges unique to our industry and strive to support our members in fulfilling their role as providers of quality recreation programs and park facilities in their respective communities. We also advocate for legislation and funding that helps our Districts continue to grow and provide more and better opportunities to their constituents. No other organization is exclusively focused on protecting the interests of recreation and park districts in this State.

*Membership Dues are based upon your District's annual budget less capital expenditures.
New members accepted between July 1 and December 31 will be billed for a full year’s dues; between January 1 and June 30, for one-half year’s dues. (For 2022-- Dues are waived for new members joining in fiscal year 2021-2022)
Membership Dues range from $400-$2,500 annually.

$100,000 - $199,999 $800
$200,000 - $299,999 $1,000
$300,000 - $599,999 $1,500
$600,000 - $999,999 $2,000
$1,000,000 and higher $2,500
