Marin County Parks offers an extensive system of regional and community parks, open space preserves, and trails for public use and enjoyment. The Department consists of two divisions: The Parks and Landscape Division and the Marin County Open Space District (MCOSD). The Department is responsible for planning, acquiring, and managing the County's open space system, which includes more than 16,000 acres of open space and more than 250 miles of public trails, as well as the County's park system with five regional parks, eight neighborhood parks, and six paved multi-use paths. In addition, the Department works closely and collaboratively with private organizations and public agencies within the county that manage and preserve open space lands, parks, and protected environmental sanctuaries including Marin Municipal Water District, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, California State Parks, and National Marine Sanctuaries. The County’s Park and open space systems are enjoyed by millions of visitors annually.
The Landscape Services Worker II position will provide services and support to the Landscape and Parks divisions of the Marin County Parks Department. The position will perform general landscape maintenance activities at various sites throughout the County. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, general mowing, pruning, planting, renovating, irrigation repair, integrated pest management, servicing of public restrooms and picnic sites, and inspecting of various parks and landscape sites. The Landscape Services Worker II will report directly to a Landscape Services Supervisor or a Supervising Park Ranger.
