The Department of Parks, After School, Recreation, and Community Services (PARCS) has exceptional career opportunities in Area Operations for our Parks and Centers. PARCS Area Operations Managers (Official Title: Recreation Manager) are key players in ensuring PARCS meets and improves on its ongoing mission to enhance the quality of life for the community by providing safe, clean, accessible parks and community centers offering diverse programs and recreational activities and fostering meaningful community partnerships.

Each position will oversee a team of supervisors, up to 50 or more staff members depending on the season, and multiple community partnerships. The Area Operations Manager is responsible for managing a complex operating budget, providing performance reporting in coordination with Program Management teams, and accountable for all aspects of direct service delivery including training, compliance, and hiring of assigned staff.
