Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District is looking for THREE Recreation Specialists.

Recreation Specialist - 3 open positions

The Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District is currently accepting applications for three Recreation Specialist positions. Each of these positions will be responsible for different aspects of Recreation: 

• Position #1 – Full Time – Evenings and Weekends required – Sports and Aquatics. This position will require the candidate to obtain the American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification within six months of hire date.
• Position #2 – Full Time – Evenings and Weekends required – Special Events (Internal and External).
• Position #3 – Part Time (32 hours per week) – Evenings and Weekends MAY be required – Food Distribution, Outdoor Education and Adaptive Programming.

Under general supervision, Specialist conducts programs and coordinates activities of paid and volunteer Recreation Division personnel at assigned parks and facilities. 

Each of these positions must be able to multi-task and respond to day-to-day requests with strong decision-making skills. Each will require you to work alongside a variety of District staff, and volunteers.
