The CARPD Conference is ALMOST HERE!

We are excited to see you tomorrow for the 2025 CARPD Conference in San Diego.  Here's a little more information about what to expect and also what you may want to bring.

What to Expect

The Conference and all related events will be held on the grounds of Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego.

Parking

• Self-parking ($10 per car, per night)

Conference Registration

• The Conference Registration table will open at  4:00PM on Wednesday, May 21st in the Island/Palm Room. (UPDATED) Come by and pick up your program, name badge, and SWAG bag. Registration will reopen at 7:30AM on Thursday.

Weather

• Weather is currently projected to include highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. 
• The resort is on the water, so you should expect some fog in the mornings and cool ocean breezes throughout the day.

• Breakfast Buffet Thursday and Friday morning
• Lunch Buffet Thursday and Friday 
• Receptions with light appetizers Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Evenings
• Banquet Dinner Thursday Night

Explore the Resort

• Resort Amenities include: 5 heated pools, 2 Pickleball courts, 18-Hole miniature golf course, 2 Tennis courts, a Basketball court, 14 bonfire pits (wood-burning and gas-powered), Beach cruisers and quadracycles for rent, and a Marina with sailboats, speed boats, kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis & more!

Food Options on the Hotel grounds

• Tidal:  open for Dinner Wednesday - Sunday, 5pm-9pm
• Barefoot Bar & Grill:  Coffee & Light Breakfast 7am-11am, all day dining 11am-10pm

WHAT TO BRING

Conference activities will all take place in the Resort's Meeting Facilities. Given the layout of the Resort, you are encouraged to bring comfortable shoes. 

Wednesday Evening (5/21)

• Attire: Business Casual
• President's Welcome Reception (presented by NBS) will be outdoors on the Paradise Terrace starting at 6:00pm. Come by for light appetizers and drinks, including NBS' signature cocktail: "NBS Mezcal Margarita"!
• Dinner on your own.

Thursday Daytime (5/22)

• Attire: Business Casual
• Lunch will be outdoors on the Paradise Terrace.

Thursday Evening (5/22)- Sponsor’s Reception & Awards Banquet

• Attire: Semi-Formal affair (i.e. jacket, dress slacks, tie optional, etc.)
• Sponsor's Reception (presented by Great Western Recreation) is outdoors on the Paradise Terrace and the Banquet will be indoors in the Pacific ballroom (UPDATE). We will have light appetizers and drinks, including Great Western Recreation's signature cocktail: "Great Western Garden Mule"!
• Bringing a guest for the Banquet? Register and pay ($50) in advance HERE.
• Raffle items will be given away during the Banquet!

Friday (5/23)

• Attire: Wear a shirt with your District's logo. Rep the brand loudly and proudly!
• Legislative Luncheon will be outside on the Paradise Terrace.
• CARPD Incoming President's Reception will be outside on the Paradise Terrace. Stay for the 50/50 Raffle!

Raffle

• We are still looking for more raffle donations! If you or your District would like to donate, please bring your items to the Registration Table on May 21st.
