The CARPD Legislative Committee is a 9-member Committee comprised of 5 Board representatives and 4 Member representatives. The alternates are able to vote in the absence of a Member Representative. Alternates should attend meetings in order to stay up to date on the activities and discussions of the Committee.

Responsibilities

• Proposes amending, supporting, or opposing legislation and regulations for the benefit of the CARPD membership;
• Provides data and testimony in support of legislative positions;
• Focuses on legislation that impacts member districts as identified in the CARPD Legislative Platform; and
• Advises and makes recommendations to the CARPD Board regarding legislative activities.
