Date Driven Decision Making with James Wheeler, Hayward Area Recreation & Park District

Using data, evaluation and metrics allows park and recreation agencies to make informed decisions when prioritizing resources. Data driven decision making also ensures our ability to better provide equitable parks and facilities to the diverse communities we serve. This session will share the different tools and systems the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District use to inform and prioritize resource allocation, new facility development and programs offered. Community surveys, park evaluations, program user feedback, technology that tracks park and event attendance, and Vehicle GPS information can all be used to ensure an agency is truly delivering what the public wants.
