Position Summary: 

Under general direction, administers the operations and daily activities of the Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager of Facilities and Infrastructure, the Division Lead of Maintenance and Skilled Trades (MAST) serves as a member of the Park District's senior leadership team, providing leadership, direction, and technical expertise to Maintenance Department programs and staff. The position manages and directs facilities maintenance, major renovations and replacements, equipment operation, and public works-related infrastructure, providing strategic support to the Executive Team through capital and operational planning, project prioritization, and long-term maintenance budgeting. The position oversees the maintenance, repair, and renovation of buildings and structures, roads and trails, water and sanitation systems, fleet and specialized equipment, and skilled trades programs. Responsibilities also include analyzing infrastructure needs, developing project funding plans and monitoring progress, supporting the Assistant General Manager in Division strategic planning and budgeting, managing the District's work order processing system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and standards, and responding to public operational or maintenance emergencies and disasters caused by fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural events.

The ideal candidate is an innovative, collaborative, and strategic public works leader who combines technical and managerial expertise with the ability to lead complex maintenance and infrastructure programs that advance the District's mission. They bring extensive executive leadership experience in public administration, particularly within infrastructure maintenance, public works, or a special district, and understand the critical and unique role regional parks play in promoting the health and wellness of the communities served.
