Position Summary:

 The Natural Resources Manager serves as the head of a division and is responsible for the management of all employees, properties, development, operation, maintenance, educational programs, and events held at all the facilities under their purview, as well as the intensively maintained park areas in the city. This includes the supervision of the activities of professional staff in administration, fish biology, horticulture, wildlife ecology, public programs and facility event rentals

Distinguishing Characteristics: 

This committed public servant must possess the political aptitude to engage and present to City leadership, and the ability to foster relationships with community groups, volunteers, partner agencies and residents. The new Natural Resources Manager must also have a passion for people, a focus on developing future leaders amongst the staff, the ability to effectively manage team members working in various locations throughout the community, while also creating a collaborative and respectful workplace.
