Partnerships Great & Small - Expanding Your Agency with Jim Friedl - Conjeo Recreation & Park District 

This session will cover a variety of partnerships focusing on the benefits to the general public who are visiting District parks and enjoying District programs. The visually stunning and captivating powerpoint (which I have yet to put together) will be accompanied by a stirring talk (which I have yet to write) and will include links to examples of "Joint Powers Agreements" and "Memorandums of Understandings" involving CRPD (with partners such as State of CA, other Districts, Cities,, School Districts, private college, and non-profits) (which already all actually exist . . . so that's good!) Partnerships typically require some "give and take" and I'll share some examples of "trade-offs" necessary to make an agreement work for all concerned. [Types of CRPD agreements provide for: public open space, trails and conservation lands; public pools; small (local) museums, botanic gardens, equestrian centers and historical sites as well as local sports organizations.
